England survived a brave second inning battle by India’s Rabindra Jadeha on the final day of the third Test at London’s Road Cricket Ground.
England beat India by 22 runs on the final day of the high-drama in their third Test at Lords.
Shoaib Bashir bowled Mohammed Siraj with four to seal the victory. India’s No. 11 tricked the ball into the stump when he saw the ball in the face of his bat and threw it on the stump as he looked incredibly.
As the English players celebrated vigorously late Monday, Rabindra Jadeha jumped out of the field after making a brave, unbeaten 61 to take India to the brink of extraordinary victory.
The hosts were hoping for a much more comfortable victory on the course when they reduced India to 112-8 at lunchtime, but Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah fought for nearly two hours and inched the team towards their 193 goal.
Jadeja was handed his legs out in front of Wicket by Chris Woakes at the referee. However, the decision was overturned during the judgement, with the left-hander ecstatically ecstatically engaging in the next stream of six wickets, and cheering loudly from Indian fans.
England eventually made a breakthrough when five Bumra skied a retreat pleaded by Ben Stokes and was caught by alternative fielder Sam Cook.
The majority of the crowd erupted with a mix of joy and relief, but Jadeha continued to annoy England, reaching 50 from a ball of 150 and bordering Stokes on four slips.
Shiraj survived 30 deliveries on four runs, with Jadeha cultivating bowling and taking a series of singles from the fourth ball in the overs to dominate the strike.
Shiraj gets a painful blow to the shoulder after being hit by Jofra’s shooter delivery, and soon after that his resistance finally breaks.

The fourth test will begin on July 23rd at Old Trafford, Manchester.
