Over the centuries by Shubman Gill, Rabindra Jadeha and Washington Sundal, the England India Series will be sent to the fifth Test matchmaker of the oval.
India, led by Captain Shubman Gill, was hit with great characters to secure a fierce battle draw in the fourth Test against England and continue to get the series into the final game.
After losing two wickets before running in two innings, India hit in more than five sessions as they lost two more wickets to finish the match 425-4 at Old Trafford, Manchester on Sunday.
The 100 courageous people from Gill – the fourth in the series – and over centuries along the way from Rabindra Jadeha and Washington Sundal – gave little crowds of homes to cheer on the tough days of England.
The closely fought series remains 2-1 for the UK, and the hosts will have to avoid a loss in the final Test at the Oval in London from Thursday to win it.
“This is less than victory for us. Our batsmen had a great display considering we got about 300 runs from the lead,” Gill told the BBC.
“We did a bit as soon as England got a new ball, but our batters really worked out. And we were a little lucky as some balls were dragged and we got a glorious batting and a brave batting.”
England captain Ben Stokes, who scored five wickets in India’s first innings but was not very suitable for the bowl on Saturday, was reopened 174-2 on Sunday morning and got caught in the attack.
The hosts were a solid favorite at this point to seal the victory. The 34-year-old locked up KL Rahul in LBW with 90 people and ended his excellent third wicket partnership with Gill in 188.
But Gill remained unshakable after a troublesome blow to his hands. In his first series as captain, the 25-year-old was just the third skipper to score 400 in one Test series.

Gilfalls
Almost seven hours after the crease, the tired looking gill fell down just before lunch at 103 and the tired gills wafted out. Jadeja was dropped to the next ball by Joe Root.
England still had plenty of time to secure a victory, but the home side created little chance.
Washington travelled modestly after lunch, but to move into the half century of the fifth century, one hit a massive six boundary. Jadeja has reached 50 and has passed 1,000 Test runs against England, becoming the third Indian player to do the series.
After the tee, after the chances of victory were gone, England offered India the opportunity to stop appealing early, but Gill kept his team there.
Jadeha swept the fifth Testton under pressure when the UK revolved the bowlers.
India then agreed to a draw, England’s first non-radiatively affected draw since Brendon McCallum and manager Stokes came together in 2022.
“Another strong battle test,” Stokes told reporters. “Another five days. We set the game very well. We kept the Indian bowlers under pressure and focused on batting once.
“We gave them a huge chance to bowl them, and we played the game the way we wanted.
“Psychologically, I’m fine. Physically, I’ve gotten better. This series was a pretty big workload.”
