Indian wicketkeeper Rishabhpants is battling a finger injury as India continues to watch the UK on the second day of its third exam.
Rishabhpants gave him a final personal fitness test as his Indian teammate concluded with rejecting England in his third Test at Lords.
When the UK was nine men, Pants left the dressing room in his bat and walked the boundaries of improvised net sessions on Friday.
He just wanted to ensure he broke his left index finger while Thursday’s wicket keeping could handle his quirky batting style.
The fingers seem to be at first glance.
He went in as arranged on No. 5 in order, but was still on the stump after winning 19 off of 33 balls.
Pants were visibly in pain after a few shots, but Britain didn’t actually test him.

He was mostly faced with tired medium-pacer Chris Walks and spinner Shoeve Bashir, who hit his three boundaries. He faced one delivery from the faster Bridon Carse and got a goodbye on the feet.
The actual test of pants fingers and pain tolerance will certainly come on Saturday, when India resumes 145-3 and runs England 242 times.
Pants were injured after lunch on Thursday and were not back to maintain for India. England were not rejected until after lunch on Friday, but Dhruv Jurel, a rear-replacement behind the pants stump, shined with three catches.
Pants, the Indian vice captain, made 65 in the second test, in a row over centuries in the first test.
