EXCLUSIVE: Million Dollar Secret producer Wheelhouse Studios has set creative team following the exit of Nick Mather to Fremantle.
The studio run by Glenn Hugill has promoted Matt Floyd, who has served as head of development alongside Hugill since the 2023 launch of Wheelhouse UK (now part of Wheelhouse Studios), to EVP, while Jack Borgeat, formerly development producer and also part of the company’s founding creative team with Hugill and Floyd, is now SVP.
The team has also drafted in Development Producer Emy Adamson, who previously worked at Clarkson’s Farm maker Expectation. Her credits include ITV’s In with a Shout.
The restructure comes following the exit of Million Dollar Secret and Pointless co-creator Mather, who is moving to Fremantle to oversee a new global entertainment label. Mather spent two-and-a-half years as EVP for Wheelhouse, co-creating unscripted formats such as Million Dollar Secret (Netflix), Got to Get Out (Hulu/Disney), Last Bite Hotel (Food Network) and Celebrity Puzzling (Channel 5).
Before teaming up at Brent Montgomery’s Wheelhouse, Hugill, Floyd and Borgeat worked together for a decade at UK production company Possessed, which was founded by Hugill and acquired by ITV Studios in 2014.
Hugill said: “I am so proud and excited about this powerhouse team at Wheelhouse Studios as we focus an even sharper eye on creators, formats and talent-first partnerships. Matt is not just a breakout creative exec; his collaborative and leadership instincts bring out the best in all of us. Jack continues to soar with extraordinary, impactful ideas and amazing taste, and Emy walks into all of this with so much talent we’re wondering how we’ve lasted so long without her.”
