Seven Barber Shop Workers Shot Dead in Gwadar :Unidentified gunmen attacked a residential area near Gwadar Fish Harbor in Surbandar, Balochistan, on Thursday. The assault targeted a group of barber shop workers who were sleeping in their quarters.
According to Gwadar Police Station SHO Mohsin Ali, the gunmen opened fire on the sleeping men, killing seven and injuring one. All the victims were from Khanewal district in Punjab province and employed at a local barber shop.
They transported the bodies and the injured person to Gwadar Hospital.
Officials Condemn Attack, Pledge Action
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti strongly condemned the killings and expressed condolences to the bereaved families. He demanded a full report on the incident and vowed to use all necessary force to apprehend the perpetrators and their accomplices.
Mir Zia Ullah Langau, the provincial Home Minister, termed the attack “blatant terrorism” and ordered a swift investigation. He declared that the government would take decisive action against the terrorists.

The provincial government spokesperson informed the public that authorities were in the process of contacting the victims’ families.
Surge in Violence in Balochistan
This incident follows a series of violent attacks in Balochistan. Three weeks ago, unidentified gunmen killed eleven people in separate shooting incidents in the Nushki district. Nine Punjabi laborers traveling by bus were abducted and then shot dead. Gunmen in Nushki killed two others and injured three in a separate attack on the same day.
In March, security forces successfully thwarted a major assault on the Gwadar Port Authority colony.
