Reds expert David Lynch says Liverpool need not worry about Arsenal’s form after the Gunners moved to the top of the Premier League table.
Arne Slott’s side won all five of their opening Premier League games, giving them a five-point lead over their nearest rivals in the opening standings.
However, Crystal Palace, Galatasaray and Chelsea all defeated Liverpool, resulting in a nightmare week in which they lost all three of their official games.
Arsenal, who had lost twice in the Premier League, came back from a five-point deficit to take a one-point lead over the Reds in the Premier League standings.
But Lynch explained why he is relaxed about Liverpool winning the title despite the Gunners leading the race ahead of the international break.
“I’m not panicking,” Lynch told Sports Mall. “We know they’re a good team right now, but we’re all (in tune). This is football, right?”

“They’re supposed to be the best thing since sliced bread, but all the weaknesses we talked about when they dropped points are very true right now. None of the question marks about their creativity have been alleviated.
“Five goals out of 14 from open play? That’s crazy. You can’t win a league title with 36% of your goals coming from open play. I don’t think it’s possible. No one is talking about it being a big problem for Arsenal. Defensively they’re very good, but there will be weeks where they don’t get corners or they don’t get penalties.”
As well as struggling to score from open play, Lynch believes Arsenal have had an easier start to the season than Liverpool.
Lynch added: “There was a lot of talk before the season about how difficult Arsenal’s start was, but to put it into context, the average ranking of the teams we’ve played against so far is much lower than Liverpool.
“They played Forest at the start of the season, one of the easiest games ever. To come to Liverpool, we had to play Manchester City at home. There’s no doubt it’s a difficult game, but we’ve also played West Ham at home, Nottingham Forest at home and Leeds at home.

“That’s teams that are 19th, 17th and 15th in the league. Liverpool have had a few games like that. The lowest they’ve ever played is Burnley, who are 18th, but it was their first big home game since returning to the Premier League. They hadn’t lost a home game in over a year.”
Lynch is supportive of Slott’s in-match management, which has had a big impact on the close title race, but added: “The quality of this manager is (great). We’ve seen the amount of tactical changes he’s made in games where Liverpool have won points. We’ve seen this. We’ve seen how many tactical changes he’s made in games.”
“It’s all about the relationships on the pitch and how quickly he can help build those relationships. I hope they come back after the international break and the game gets a little bit easier and we can get the momentum back to the top. It’s not as dire as people are making it out to be.”
“They’re going to want to be on the right side of the close going forward and once Isak is fit we’ll probably see them get better. Maybe Wirts will start to feel a little bit more comfortable with things because he’s got enough experience in the league and it makes the game easier.”
