Kristin Chenoweth, the Emmy- and Tony-winning singer-actor who will return to Broadway this fall in The Queen of Versailles musical, has signed with UTA for representation in all areas.
Chenoweth’s career has spanned across film, television, voice-over, music, and theater. Widely known for her Tony-nominated performance as the original Glinda the Good Witch in Wicked, Chenoweth would go on to win the Tony for her role in You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown. For her performance in On the Twentieth Century she won an Outer Critics Choice Award and Drama Desk Award.
The Queen of Versailles will begin performances at Broadway’s St. James Theatre on October 8, with an official press opening on November 10. Chenoweth will star as beauty queen, socialite, and TV personality Jacqueline “Jackie” Siegel in the musical based on the 2012 documentary The Queen of Versailles. The musical will see Chenoweth reunite her with Wicked composer Stephen Schwartz, and Chenoweth will both star in and produce the show.
In film, Chenoweth has starred in Four Christmases, The Boy Next Door, Bewitched, The Pink Panther, and most recently, Netflix’s Our Little Secret. On television, she is known for her Emmy-nominated role in Glee, her Emmy-winning performance in Pushing Daisies, and appearances in Schmigadoon!, The West Wing, and NBC’s Hairspray Live!. Her distinctive voice has been featured in animated films such as Rio 2, My Little Pony, and Disney’s Tinker Bell franchise.
Chenoweth has headlined sold-out concerts at iconic venues worldwide, including Carnegie Hall, Royal Albert Hall, the Sydney Opera House, the Hollywood Bowl, and the London Palladium. As a recording artist, she has released multiple acclaimed studio albums.
Chenoweth also is the bestselling author of the memoir A Little Bit Wicked: Life, Love, and Faith in Stages. She also wrote the children’s book What Will I Do with My Love Today?, inspired by her journey as an adoptee.
