EXCLUSIVE: Scott Eastwood is joining the mushrooming cast of Paramount’s Regretting You opposite Allison Williams, Dave Franco, Mckenna Grace, Mason Thames and Willa Fitzgerald.
The pic is based on Collen Hoover’s 2019 bestselling novel; the author an EP with Williams, Franco and Grace. The movie hits cinemas on Oct. 24.
Regretting You is set against a shocking car wreck which takes the lives of two family members. The event unlocks a series of secrets, lies and regrets. The people left behind can’t move forward without looking at the past. Regretting You explores what’s left behind after a tragedy, the messiness and grief, but also the beauty of life and love. Josh Boone (The Fault in our Stars, Stuck in Love) is directing and adapted the recent draft, which was first penned by Susan McMartin (After).
Hoover-mania began at the summer box office last year with the Justin Baldoni directed and starring, Blake Lively starring It Ends With Us which minted over $351M at the global box office.
Robert Kulzer is producing for Constantin Film alongside Brunson Green (The Help, Harbinger Pictures), Anna Todd (Frayed Pages Media), and Flavia Viotti.
The UTA, LBI Entertainment, and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman repped Eastwood can be seen in Lucky Strike which reunites him with director Rod Lurie from The Outpost; the kidnapping drama Stolen Girl alongside Kate Beckinsale; in the action film Alarum opposite Sylvester Stallone; in the drama Pearl opposite West Duchovny; and in the sequel to the acclaimed 2017 crime drama Wind River: Rising.
Most recently, Eastwood starred alongside Tyrese Gibson and the late Ray Liotta in 1992 for director Ariel Vroman. He was also seen in Fast X, the tenth main installment in the Fast & Furious franchise, and in Amazon’s romantic comedy I Want You Back alongside Charlie Day, Jenny Slate and Gina Rodriguez.
