EXCLUSIVE: Shattered and Plane actress Lilly Krug has been set to lead horror-thriller Corporate Retreat from White Noise producer Uri Singer and his LA-based banner Passage Pictures.
Written and directed by Aaron Fisher (Inside the Rain), the film will follow a group of corporate executives from a rising tech company attending a company retreat at a remote desert mansion. The team-bonding trip turns into a blood-soaked competition when the group is trapped in a sadistic game of survival. Production is slated to begin this June.
Fisher describes Corporate Retreat as “an exploration of resilience in the face of a hierarchy that cares nothing at all for your wellbeing.” The script was co-written by Kerri Lee Romeo.
Pic is being produced by Passage Pictures’ Uri Singer, whose credits include Noah Baumbach’s White Noise, Tesla, and Marjorie Prime. In developmeng is an adaptation of Don DeLillo’s Underworld with Ted Melfi writing and directing
Singer states: “We see Corporate Retreat as a chilling takedown of corporate culture that blends horror and social satire – it’s a gory mix of The Menu and Saw.”
Fisher’s directorial debut Inside the Rain starred Oscar-nominee Rosie Perez. Showtime acquired the film after its premiere at the Woodstock Film Festival.
