Shondaland has promoted executives Alyssa Schimel, Catherine Yan Lustro and Seth Plattner in the areas of communications/marketing, consumer products and digital media, respectively.
Schimel will expand her role of Vice President of Marketing and Communications to the newly created role of VP, Global Content Marketing, Communications and Talent Strategy. In that role, Schimel will oversee the communications and marketing for all Shondaland content including streaming, broadcast, audio, digital, consumer products and experiences. She will also lead talent strategy for all external talent associated with Shondaland projects as well as Shondaland executives.
Yan Lustro has been appointed Senior Director, Global Merchandise Strategy & Experiences where she will develop and manage Shondaland’s increasing IP-based consumer product strategies. She’ll be responsible for product development through product launch and will be a key collaborator with partners.
Plattner has been named the new Senior Director, Digital Engagement and Content Strategy. Shondaland’s new Digital Media division will encompass all of the company’s digital marketing properties such as social media, a new A/V team for video and audio production, and the shondaland.com website. Plattner will take the lead in developing and implementing strategy for the brand.
