SkyMed follows the triumphs and tribulations of young medics and pilots who fly air ambulances across the remote skies of Northern Canada. Weaving together intense journeys with jaw-dropping medical rescues 20,000 feet in the air in the most remote conditions, the new season throws the diverse group of medical responders into all-new challenges on the job and in their personal lives. Picking up in the aftermath of the dramatic season two finale, the tight-knit SkyMed team is faced with a shocking medical emergency for one of its members and must rely on each other more than ever as they experience heart-pulsing rescues, new love, and hard goodbyes.
Returning series regulars include Natasha Calis as Hayley, Morgan Holmstrom as Crystal, Praneet Akilla as Chopper, Mercedes Morris as Lexi, Thomas Elms as Nowak, Kheon Clarke as Tristan and Sydney Kuhne as Stef, alongside Aaron Ashmore as Wheezer, who has been upped to series regular this season.
Reprising their recurring roles are “Ace” Aason Nadjiwon as Bodie and Emilia McCarthy as Madison, with Braeden Clarke returning to guest star as Jeremy. Newcomers this season include Anthony Grant as TJ and Nicola Correia-Damude as Marianne, both in recurring roles.
SkyMed is produced by Piazza Entertainment in association with CBC and CBS Studios. The series is created by Julie Puckrin and inspired by her sister and brother-in-law, who met flying air ambulances. Puckrin also serves as executive producer, along with Gillian Hormel and Vanessa Piazza. From Manitoba, Rhonda Baker and Carrie Wilkins serve as producers. Outside of Canada, SKYMED is distributed internationally by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
