Gordon Ramsay has another show coming to Fox.
The network has ordered Gordon Ramsay’s Secret Service, which will see the celebrity chef go undercover to rescue America’s filthiest restaurants.
Ramsay will swap his kitchen knives for a surveillance vehicle and spyware in the series, where, with the help of a secret source on the inside, he’ll get a view of the issues facing each restaurant.
He will infiltrate the restaurant after-hours for a black light kitchen investigation to reveal the filth and by the time he reveals himself, staff won’t be able to cover up their crimes.
The series will premiere on Wednesday, May 21 at 9pm.
It is produced by Studio Ramsay Global and Fox Alternative Entertainment with Ramsay as executive producer alongside showrunner Bill Langworthy.
Ramsay already has a pretty full plate at Fox and Secret Service will be his eighth show actively on the network. He has Hell’s Kitchen, which is currently in its 23rd season and has been renewed for season 24, Kitchen Nightmares, which just aired its ninth season, MasterChef, which returns for season 15 this year, MasterChef Jr., which aired season nine last year, Next Level Chef, which received a two season order taking it through season six as well as the Next Level Baker spinoff, and Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars, which has aired two seasons on the network.
“Over the years, I’ve embarked on many daring adventures alongside my partners at Fox,” said Ramsay. “And Secret Service is the most intrepid of them all! With undercover help and cutting-edge technology, I get to go full on MI6 with these restaurants…and they’ll never see it coming.”
“Gordon is among the most prolific creative forces in television history, and along the way, has amassed an unbelievable fanbase, reaching nearly six billion total viewers and counting,” added Michael Thorn, President, Fox Television Network. “With limitless talent, Gordon infuses each of his series with its own remarkable, distinctive personality and unrivalled stakes, a reputation he certainly upholds with this terrific new concept that will once again keep his fans endlessly engaged.”
