EXCLUSIVE: Actress Dominique Thorne has inked with WME.
Best known in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Riri Williams aka superhero Ironheart, Thorne’s character was introduced in the $859M-grossing, Oscar winning, Ryan Koogler directed Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Thorne next stars in the Disney+/Marvel Studios series Ironheart which will hit the serve on June 24. She’ll also star in the Disney+/Marvel Studios series Marvel Zombies currently set to drop this October. Thorne also voiced Riri in the MCU streaming series What If…?
Thorne recently starred opposite Pedro Pascal, Jay Ellis and Ben Mendelsohn in Freaky Tales which made its world premiere at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival. The pic was written and directed by Captain Marvel‘s Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden.
Thorne made her feature film debut in Barry Jenkins’ Oscar-winning feature take of the James Baldwin novel If Beale Street Could Talk. In that Annapurna feature, Thorne played Shelia Hunt, the ill-tempered younger sister of main character Fonny Hunt (Stephen James). She then starred in the 2x Oscar winning Shaka King directed Judas and the Black Messiah opposite Daniel Kaluuya and Lakeith Stanfield; that movie executive produced by Coogler and Charles D. King.
Thorne made her Broadway debut in 2023 in Manhattan Theatre Club’s Tony Award-winning production of Jaja’s African Hair Braiding. The play was written by Jocelyn Bioh, directed by Whitney White, and produced by LaChanze and Taraji P. Henson.
The New York City native actress studied dramatic theatre at the Professional Performing Arts School in Manhattan (PPAS). She is a graduate of Cornell University.
