Prime Video’s We Were Liars series combines the nostalgia of young love and summers at the beach with a sinister, twisty mystery.
The series contains many needle drops that evoke blissful memories and the adrenaline of teenagers with all the emotions under the sun, and there are quieter songs in the background that expand the darkness as well. Artists with songs featured in the series inclue Hozier, Haim, Towa Bird, Lana del Ray, Holly Humberstone, Gracie Abrams, Tom Petty and many more. Author and executive producer E. Lockhart contributed “We Are Young” from the band Fun as a needle drop in the finale.
