Earthquake Teams With Bill Burr For Multi-Camara Comedy In Works At Fox

-

Actor-comedian Earthquake is set to star in a multi-camera comedy based on his life, which is in development at Fox with Bill Burr’s North Hill Productions and 3 Arts Entertainment.

No writer has been set yet for the project, titled Earthquake, which is in consideration for the 2026-27 season. It is part of Fox’s push into multi-camera comedy and, while the network has been open to occasionally doing pilots/presentations on the comedy side, Earthquake would be following a script-to-series development track.

Executive producing are Bill Burr and Mike Bertolina of North Hill Productions, Dave Becky of 3 Arts, Jermaine Smith and Earthquake. The comedy, from Fox Entertainment Studios, would be distributed by Fox Entertainment Global.

Earthquake, born Nathaniel Stroman, has been doing standup for three decades. His most recent comedy special was the 2022 Chappelle’s Home Team – Earthquake: Legendary for Netflix. Earthquake’s acting credits include recurring roles on CBS’ The Neighborhood and on the CW’s Everybody Hates Chris, with him recently doing a voice guest stint on the animated reboot. Earthquake also has been hosting radio show Quake’s House for Kevin Hart’s Laugh Out Loud Network on Sirius XM.

Burr is coming off his Broadway debut starring alongside Kieran Culkin and Bob Odenkirk in David Mamet’s Glengarry Glen Ross, running from March through June. He also released his eighth hour-long stand-up special, Bill Burr: Drop Dead Years, on Hulu on March 14.

In 2024, Burr created the production company, North Hill Productions, to develop film and TV projects. His Hulu special, Bill Burr: Drop Dead Years, was the company’s first TV project and his upcoming film, Born Losers, will be the company’s first film project.
