The next chapter of My Life With the Walter Boys “is coming in hot.”
Netflix unveiled a teaser clip for Season 2 of the YA series, based on the book by Ali Novak, set to “Free To Love” by The Red Collective & erloom.
After the chaos of last season’s ending, in which Alex Walter (Ashby Gentry) told Jackie Howard (Nikki Rodriguez) that he loves her and his brother Cole (Noah LaLonde) kissed her, Jackie retreated to New York City to clear her head.
“I spent all summer spiraling about how and why I left,” Rodriguez’s voice narrates as Jackie walks the hustling, bustling streets of New York City, which used to be her home. “I don’t belong anywhere anymore.”
Katherine Walter (Sarah Rafferty), Jackie’s late mother’s best friend from college argues that she does belong in Silver Falls, Colorado with the Walter family — Katherine, her husband George (Marc Blucas) and their nine sons and one daughter.

Tension will likely ensue when Jackie decides to return to the Walter ranch because both boys caught in a love triangle with her aren’t exactly stoked at her return — more particulary Alex, who seems to have had a glow up while he spent the summer working as a ranch hand. Even his older — and attractive — brother Cole remarks on the change when he picks Alex up from the bus stop.
In the end, it’s Cole that asks Jackie “Why did you really come back?”
The new season arrives on Netflix August 28.
