EXCLUSIVE: Canadian horror filmmakers Chad Archibald and Cody Calahan, the duo behind genre house Black Fawn Films, have inked with IAG for representation in all areas, the goal being to expand their brand on an international scale, across film and television, while continuing to foster bold, original voices within the genre world.
The signing comes following Black Fawn’s recent collaboration with Eli Roth on the Discovery+ series The Haunted Museum, as well as the release of their supernatural horror film It Feeds, starring Ashley Greene and Shawn Ashmore. Up next, they’re set to premiere their film The Undertone at the Fantasia Film Festival this Sunday evening.
Known for their elevated, character-driven horror, Archibald and Calahan have carved out a following with critically praised films like The Heretics, The Oak Room, I’ll Take Your Dead, and the Shudder original Vicious Fun.
“We’ve spent over a decade building Black Fawn around a deep love for genre cinema,” said Archibald. “With IAG behind us, we can scale that approach while staying true to the creative visions that has always made Black Fawn unique.”
Said Callahan, “Black Fawn has always been about championing passionate creators and fearless storytelling. IAG brings that same passion to the table, and we’re thrilled to partner with a team that understands both the art and the business of filmmaking.”
