Dick Clark Productions has hired Mike Chuthakieo as its first chief commercial officer.
Chuthakieo will oversee commercial strategy and revenue generation for the company, which owns and produces live events including the Golden Globes and the American Music Awards.
He has been tasked with establishing strategic brand alliances and helping to develop and expand the reach of IP across all media platforms for these events as well as Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, Billboard Music Awards and Academy of Country Music Awards.
Chuthakieo will report to Dick Clark Productions CEO Jay Penske, who also owns Deadline. Based in LA, he joins later this month.
Chuthakieo joins DCP from music company 88rising, where he was Chief Revenue Officer. He worked across its music projects and original IP including the Head in the Clouds music festival. He previously worked at companies including Pinterest, Pandora, and MySpace.
