Manchester City is reportedly “unstood” at a strange request from the Premier League in an ongoing legal lawsuit of 115 suspects.
Pep Guardiola’s side was hit with a fee of 115 (later upgraded to 130) more than two years ago. An independent hearing for alleged violations that ended late last year.
Several sanctions have been promoted, including a point penalty, transfer embargo, title stripping and even a complete expulsion from the Premier League.
In response, Man City fought the Premier League and ran a campaign for the Related Party Transactions (APT) rules that will be removed.
The Premier League implemented these rules primarily to prevent Man City and Newcastle United from signing sponsorship agreements with related parties.

The city previously blocked several major sponsorship deals and argued that the proper rules for the Premier League are illegal.
The February “bomb verdict” revealed a “big victory” for the club after Cityzens claimed APT rules were illegal following the Premier League’s decision to block major sponsorship deals.
