Someone who didn’t know that a couple of friends who like their fans actually have feelings for each other.
During the HBO Max Reunion Special of the iconic NBC series, Aniston and Schwimmer admitted to nursing each other crashes during their first season.
As Schwimmer explained, “Yeah, we’re our first season. I fell in love with Jen,” Aniston retorted, “I went back and forth.”
So why didn’t Ross and Rachel’s real-life counterparts officially gather?
“At one point, we were both squashing each other hard,” explained Schwimmer.
Matt LeBlanc then interrupts, saying, “Bulls-t. I’m kidding,” suggesting that his co-stars may have shown a bit of PDA on set.
“To be honest, I remember once saying it to David: ‘It would be a shame that you and I would actually be kissing on national television,” Aniston confessed. “It’s true, the first time we kissed was in that coffee shop.”
However, their co-stars were taking advantage of their time together on set. Schwimmer said, “I thought of what you know when we took a break from the rehearsal, just like when we broke from the rehearsal, we had a moment of embracing on the couch.” “Or we’ll fall asleep on the couch with a spoon,” Aniston added.
Finally, Schwimmer admitted, “I’m thinking, how did no one know that we were being crushed by each other?”
