EXCLUSIVE: Sherri Shepherd has signed with UTA for representation in all areas.
Shepherd is a Daytime Emmy Award-winning talk show host, comedian, actress, and best-selling author widely known for her presence across television, film, and live entertainment.
With a career spanning three decades, Shepherd is currently the host of her own nationally syndicated talk show, Sherri, which launched in 2022 and was renewed for a fourth season earlier this year. According to a report from Deadline, Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury daytime talk show will return to the Fox Television Stations, as well as those owned by Nexstar, Hearst, Sinclair, Gray, Tegna and Sunbeam, for the 2025-26 season. The show has earned multiple accolades, including a 2024 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Talk Show Host, and four 2023 Daytime Emmy Awards nominations.
Shepherd received a group Daytime Emmy Award alongside her The View co-stars Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, and Barbara Walters in 2009.
Her TV acting credits include a recurring role on HBO Max’s The Sex Lives of College Girls, a guest-starring appearance on Prime Video’s Harlem, and a co-starring role in the Netflix comedy from Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, Mr. Iglesias. She also had a recurring guest role on ABC’s Call Your Mother. Additional appearances include NBC’s Trial and Error, Fox’s Rosewood, Man With a Plan for CBS, NBC’s 30 Rock, ABC’s How I Met Your Mother, Everybody Loves Raymond for CBS, NBC’s Friends, and The Jamie Foxx Show from the WB.
Her film credits include Tyler Perry’s Straw, Brian Banks, Netflix’s A Week Away, Lifetime film Imperfect High, Precious, Think Like A Man, Top 5, Ride Along 2, Walk. Ride. Rodeo, Jean of The Joneses, Woodlawn, One For The Money, Abducted: The Carlina White Story, Guess Who, and Beauty Shop.
In 2014, Shepherd made her Broadway debut as the Evil Stepmother opposite KeKe Palmer in Cinderella, becoming the first Black actress to do so. Her other theater credits include the Off-Broadway shows Love, Loss, and What I Wore, Celebrity Autobiography: In Their Own Words and Joy Behar’s My First Ex-Husband.
She currently hosts the award-winning Two Funny Mamas podcast with fellow comedic actress Kym Whitley. The show recently received a 2025 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Arts and Entertainment Podcast. Up next, she will release her first children’s book, The Sunshine Queens, on October 7.
