Sha’carri Richardson faces legal troubles.
The Olympic athletics star was arrested at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on July 27, according to a police report obtained by Athletic after alleged incidents with boyfriend Christian Coleman at TSA Security Checkpoint.
The Olympic gold medalist was involved in a heated debate with her two-year boyfriend, who claimed that the second-year arrest officer pushed him multiple times while Richardson, 29, was about to leave at 29, according to the Seattle Police Department. She then seemed to throw headphones at him.
After police saw the incident on security footage, they deemed her actions considered the cause of her arrest in a fourth-degree domestic violence attack.
Ultimately, Richardson said after detaining less than 24 hours at a Southern Corrections Group in Des Moines, Washington, Coleman refused to file charges and “refused to become a victim,” according to the report. The report also said the incident was subsequently cleared.
