Athletic David Ornstein has revealed that Newcastle now “understands” that he “may have to do a deal” with Liverpool this summer for Alexander Isaac.
Liverpool was recently given encouragement when Isaac revealed to the Magpie Committee that he wanted to leave St. James Park and move to Anfield.
The Reds responded by sending bids worth £110 million worth of add-ons, but they decided to refuse because Newcastle is looking for around £150 million for Swedish International.
There have been widespread rumors claiming Liverpool will not bid again on Isaac this summer, but other reports show that if Newcastle admits to letting him go, they will make a deal.
And now, athletic journalist Ornstein has revealed that he is now coming to the idea of selling Newcastle if he receives a “proper financial offer.”
Ornstein told BBC Radio Five Live:

“And I think they’ll probably take into account Liverpool’s obvious commitment to this and Isaac’s resolve, but PIF won’t roll over on this.
“I don’t know how they’re willing to release Isak if they don’t get someone, but since we have four weeks, we have time and range to accept offers that the exchange is sorted out and Newcastle is at the right financial level.
“Newcastle didn’t want to be in this position, but Isaac’s representatives have made it clear that they will be leaving for Newcastle this summer, so for all involved, we need to find a solution as the current situation cannot continue.”
Stephen Bourson, a former Manchester City financial advisor, is surprised that Newcastle has allowed Isaac to be “very weak” against the pursuit of a Liverpool striker.

Liverpool Liverpool “New Offer for Players” “Absolutely unconvincing” as important as “Red Star” as important as ISAK
Bourson told Football Insider:
“But they seem to have the worst world in all the worlds he trains at Sociedad. He makes them look very weak in this negotiation.
“Liverpool is sitting very relaxed trying to see if they can ship Nunes.
“Napoli is currently carrying the 75 million euros (£65.3 million) funds from Osimchen, so they will be moving to Naples.
“It’s great for Liverpool and terrible for Newcastle.”
When asked about Isaac’s potential return to training, Newcastle boss Eddie Howe said, “You need to earn the right to train with us. We are Newcastle United. Players are part of the team here and need to act the right way.
“We make sure that players do that to gain the right to train with the group, and we can’t expect them to act poorly and train with the group as normal.
“Of course I want him to be (in training) but I wonder if he doesn’t know at this point.”
