NBC continues to keep its long-running unscripted series around.
The network has renewed American Ninja Warrior for Season 18.
Hosts Matt Iseman, Akbar Gbajabiamila and Zuri Hall return to lead the series, which will film this fall in Las Vegas.
The action competition is one of NBC’s most trusted unscripted franchises alongside America’s Got Talent, which is currently airing Season 20, and The Voice, which was just renewed for Season 29.
Season 17 of American Ninja Warrior premiered in June and Season 18 is expected to air next summer.
It will feature a brand-new round that includes a supersized three-lane racecourse, where ninjas will face off head-to-head-to-head in side-by-side races. The winner of the series will take home a grand prize of $250,000.
The show has introduced a number of new challenges over recent years; this season past competitors competed and for the first time the tournament is a straight knockout elimination bracket on a head-to-head race course. Seasons 15 and 16, which were produced at the same time as part of a bumper order, saw the introduction of a Mega Wall.
American Ninja Warrior is produced by A. Smith & Co. Productions. Executive producers are Arthur Smith, Kent Weed, Anthony Storm, Brian Richardson and Kristen Stabile.
