Liverpool is “interested” with Star Nathan Collins of Brentford as Newcastle threatened to hijack their bid to sign Mark Guech from Crystal Palace.
The Reds have already secured prominent signatures of Florent Wurtz, Hugo Ekicchique, Milos Kerkez and Jeremy Fripon this summer, but they hope to sign a new centre-back following Bayer Lebakusen’s departure while Alexander Isaac is waiting to see if it will be available.
Liverpool was recently given encouragement when Isaac revealed to the Magpie Committee that he wanted to leave St. James Park and move to Anfield.
The Reds responded by sending bids worth £110 million worth of add-ons, but they decided to reject it as Newcastle is looking for around £150 million for Swedish International.
There have been widespread rumors claiming Liverpool will not bid again on Isaac this summer, but other reports show that if Newcastle admits to letting him go, they will make a deal.
And on Monday, athletic journalist Ornstein revealed that he is now coming to the idea of selling Newcastle if he receives “appropriate financial offers.”
Ornstein told BBC Radio Five Live:

Newcastle and Liverpool may also accept to leave the palace this summer and fight it for Guech, which is open to his contract expires at the end of next season.
And the report claims Newcastle is aiming to “go back” for England International, reviving their interest after several bids last summer on him.

Newcastle can make Guehi’s move to “before left the transfer window late.”
Liverpool “is interested, but doesn’t want to pay such a high fee,” Givemesport claims “Collins are one of several centre-backs being monitored ahead of the new season.”
The report claims that Brentford “doesn’t show any desire to break up” with the 24-year-old, 24-year-old, who moved to Brentford for £23 million in the summer of 2023.
It will be added to the report:
‘He has four years left on his contract and there are no indications from players he wants to move. There is a small chance that a deal will be launched this summer. Those familiar with the situation describe their current stance as clear. Collins is not on sale.
“He made 33 appearances in all competitions last season, celebrating his aviation strength, positional awareness and leadership on his back. Liverpool’s interest reflects his growing reputation, but there is no hope of a transfer unless things change significantly.”
