Arsenal could “energize” interest in Crystal Palace, attacking midfielder Ebeki Eze in the second half of the window, according to athletics’ David Ornstein, in a link with Tottenham.
The gunner is trying to add to the team if the right opportunity arises in the final week of the transfer period after spending a lot of money on six players.
Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard, Noni Maduke, Cristhian Mosquera and Viktor Gyoker signed Arsenal this summer.
Eze has been a consistent link in recent weeks, with Arsenal reportedly hoping to sign players whether Crystal Palace can lower its £68 million ask price.
And now, Ornstein has made it clear that Eze is “so pressing concern” for Arsenal after Ethan Nuwaneri signed a new contract at Emirates Stadium.
Ornstein told the Sports Agent Podcast: “Let’s see if that happens. They’re interested in him. They may become active later in the window.

“I think it was seen when there was a possibility of young talent Ethan Nuwaneri, Ethan Nwaneri, as he was the last year of his contract, in contrast to the right side that Arsenal played last season.
“Eze occupies the same space. They have Martin Odegard around. They couldn’t get Max Douman to come in and get high for him.
“It was Eze. Nwaneri has signed his new contract, so Eze is such a pressing concern.”
Former Arsenal winger Theo Walcott urged Eze to stay at Crystal Palace to ensure regular football ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

Walcott said it was called soccer.
“As a player, if it’s a World Cup year, I think, ‘I’m going to play consistently at the palace this year,’ so for example, my thought process: Clearly Arsenal is another kind of pressure.
“There’s pressure to challenge the title and there are so many words that Mikel (Arteta) is said to need to win something this year, so he’s definitely a talented player, of course, to be a player who helps his squad.
“So he’ll help the team, but will he help himself? The good thing about Eze’s situation is that he can play every week and he has a Maverick style that allows him to take those risks and accepts them.
“I think he’s a player who can take those risks at the palace. I don’t think he’ll get that at Arsenal.”
The Sun claims that Atalanta winger Adamalakman has refused the opportunity to join Arsenal in support of waiting for a move to Inter Milan this summer.
The offer from Arsenal was “an estimated £45 million” and the Nigerian “has entered into a personal agreement with Nerazzurri and moved there if they could agree to the fee.
