EXCLUSIVE: Larry the Cable Guy has inked a deal with Prime Video to release his new comedy special, Larry the Cable Guy: It’s A Gift, on September 12.
In the hour-long special, filmed at the Capitol Theater in Clearwater, Florida, Larry delivers takes on everything from family life and aging to the everyday absurdities of modern living. Check out a first-look clip above.
Directed by Dave Higby, the special is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Git-R-Done Productions, Inc., and executive produced by Larry the Cable Guy, Maggie Houlehan, and Nick Nuciforo.
A Grammy nominee, Billboard Award winner and multi-platinum recording artist known for his rapid-fire punchlines, unmistakable voice and Southern everyman perspective, Larry the Cable Guy broke out as part of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour in the early 2000s. Most recently releasing the Netflix special Remain Seated, he co-founded the SiriusXM comedy channel Jeff and Larry’s Comedy Roundup, highlighting the best in American stand-up, with his fellow Blue Collar comedy troupe member Jeff Foxworthy.
Larry the Cable Guy is also known for voicing the role of Mater in Disney/Pixar’s Cars franchise, spanning three films, the Disney+ series Cars on the Road, and the Disney Jr. series Cars: Lightning Racers, premiering in 2027. His other credits include films like Jingle All the Way 2, A Madea Christmas, Tooth Fairy 2, Witless Protection, Delta Farce and Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector, as well as the History Channel series Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy, which ran for three seasons.
