Arsenal is reportedly weighing the big-name moves of Aston Villa star Morgan Rodgers, but the former Manchester City star has joined him on a four-man nominee list to replace Kai Herberts.
Havertz has been a key player for Arsenal in recent years but was unavailable for most of last season’s break-in with tears in the hamstrings, so athletic David Ornstein revealed Wednesday that the former Chelsea star is “set on a knee-injured bystander spell.”
He added:
“The 26-year-old German International was not part of an open training session at Emirates Stadium on Wednesday morning.
“The prognosis and duration of the layoffs are unknown as the assessment is in the early stages. However, Arsenal has actively investigated the transfer market that could bolster the offense, covering Hubbert’s absence.
According to a friend at TeamTalk, “two options for Gunters have come into being because “Berta actively searches for Havertz alternatives.”
Nicholas Jackson is “one of the options being considered,” and Chelsea is willing to sell Senegal International for £60 million. Jackson himself hopes to appear in summer signings Joa Pedro and Liam Dellup on the Stamford Bridge Pecking order.
Newcastle is also thought to be interested in Jackson as an alternative to Alexander Isaac, with Team Talc claiming that Arsenal is also “looking at Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins.”
Gunner was rejected for Watkins in the winter window and he remained on their list before plumping for Victor Gyoker earlier this summer.
It will be added to the report:
‘Villa Value Watkins costs £60 million (€69.4 million, $80.9 million), but TeamTalk understands that signing England International is much more difficult than getting Jackson to Arsenal.
“The villains don’t want to sell Watkins, but Arsenal doesn’t rule out playing late for the 29-year-old.”

And now, the Sun’s claims that Arsenal also “heavy” the “dramatic dive” for his teammate Rogers at Aston Villa in Watkins.
The report claims that the gunners are “already watching” Rogers as they are seeking someone to challenge Gabriel Martinelli to the starting spot, and his versatility appears to have strengthened interest in the international England as he can provide Hebatzes’ cover in his absence.
It is allegedly that Villa is “determined to protect Rogers” and that it is extremely difficult to break the resolve before the windows close on September 1st.
The report supports Arsenal’s interest in Jackson, while also claiming that former Manchester City star Julian Alvarez is an “option” for gunners, but it would be equally difficult to praise him from Atletico Madrid this summer.
