Reports say Tottenham Hotspur “supported their offer” for “top targets” after being beaten in the race to sign Arsenal’s newbie Bebeki Eze.
The Spurs got off to a perfect start to the 2025/26 Premier League season as they defeated Burnley and Manchester City in the opening two games.
This proves that new boss Thomas Frank has had a major impact since replacing Ange Postecoglou in the summer, but they have had difficulties in the transfer market.
The North London outfit has elbowed from the rankings of Europe’s biggest spenders this summer after missing out on Morgan Gibbs White and Eze.
Tottenham’s move to Gibbs White fell amid a tap-up allegations, but Eze decided to choose Arsenal after the Gunners raised interest after a knee injury to Kai Herberts.
This will cause Spurs to search for alternative markets, with Como star Nicopaz being one of their targets.

The 20-year-old surpassed the ranks at Real Madrid, but he left to join Como for around £5 million during the summer windows of 2024.
The talented offensive midfielder enjoyed his breakout season in 2024/25, earning six goals and eight assists in all competitions.
Unrecognized, Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio claimed that the Spurs “suggested” “their offer” to “top targets” after failing with a bid worth around 40 million euros in the beginning of August.
Tottenham “will not give up” and submitted a proposal worth 50 million euros to Como, but it has also been pointed out that he valued him at 70 million euros.
It will be added to the report:
“Nicopaz remains Tottenham’s top target, and Tottenham has made its intentions clear. However, despite the 10 million offers improved, Spurs has yet to be approved for the transfer.
‘Como, which rejected the first offer, has yet to accept the second offer, but the player has not yet made any moves. In fact, his plan may be to stay in Serie A with Fabregas’ team another year and play card with Real Madrid next season.

Xavi Simons is another potential option for Spurs. He has not yet secured a transition to Chelsea, so former Manchester United assistant Rene Meulensteen has told Frank the side to move to the Netherlands International for four reasons.
“It’s fun to watch, but he has to be one of those top teams to succeed in the Premier League,” Meulensteen said.
“He’s mobile. He’s really a player floating between the lines at the back of his pocket, he can become a guy.
“But if he ends in the Premier League, we haven’t seen where he ended yet.
“Tottenham? That could be a really good option. James Madison comes out and that could be a really good option.
“Manchester United? He’s the guy who plays in the position where Mateus Cunha or Mason Mount plays. Brian Mbemo will probably play in that position. Bruno Fernandez will play in that position.
“In Liverpool, no, they brought Florian Wiltz. Arsenal has a player in that position with Martin Odegard.”
