The comedy community is grieving the loss of one of their own.
Reggie Carroll, who played stand-up routines at comedy clubs around the country, passed away on August 20th after being caught up in a shooting in northern Mississippi. He was 52 years old.
“A South Aven officer has found a man’s victim suffering from a bullet wound,” authorities wrote on Facebook on August 23.
The investigation was ongoing and the incident was believed to be an isolated shooting, according to the police department.
“One man is in custody and charged with the murder of Reginald Carroll,” the statement continued. “We appreciate the community for their patience and understanding.”
After the tragic news broke, Club Mobtown comedy paid tribute to her beloved Maryland residents. Maryland residents also made numerous television appearances, including the 2023 stand-up special Knockout King of Comedy and the 2022 film Rent & Go.
