Tottenham was told to go out and sign Zabi Simons, despite the fact that the RB Leipzig midfielder appears to be on the crisis of his move to Chelsea.
The Stamford Bridge side has been working for several weeks to sign Dutchman, but in less than a week the former PSG and Barcelona midfielders remain in Germany.
It was reported that Tottenham took part in the race, but TeamTalk journalist Fraser Fletcher suggests that players only look to Chelsea.
“Simons refuses to advance from Tottenham Hotspur and shows his preference for joining the Blues. However, Leipzig is valuing £70 million, so players may need to sell to match this price.
But despite that warning, former Spurs Scoutmic Brown told the football insider that after missing Eze, the Spurs should pull away his hijacking and convince Simmons to take part in Chelsea’s place.

“While missing Eze was a huge blow to Tottenham,” he said.
“I am in a position that the manager wants to strengthen due to James Madison’s injuries.
“But now they need to look at some other options.
“I’m a bit worried about Tottenham and how they’ve struggled with trading on the line, and I think too much is unfolding in the public eye.
“But one of the players I hear they’ve seen is Zabi Simons.
“I’ve heard good things about him. Chelsea has been interested in him most of the summer, so he’s clearly a decent player.

“They can’t afford to keep missing their targets.
“If they want him, then go and take him without anyone realizing what you’re doing.”
Daniel Levy is not the only target on the Spurs radar, as he is typically prepared for a slow transfer business.
The latest report suggests they are also looking at Morgan Rogers and want to capitalize on the PSR issues at Aston Villa, but there is no chance of any move.
Transfer Reporter’s Fabrizio Romano said on his YouTube channel that Spurs had approached many clubs for the new midfielder but had not yet arrived at the target.
“Morgan Rogers is a dream target, but I don’t want to sell the villa,” Romano said. “So, that seems very difficult.
“In the last 24-48 hours, they’ve called out other players: Lucas Paketa of West Ham and Semenyo of Bournemouth. It’s time to make the final decision soon.
