Germany reports that Chelsea’s top target Xavi Simons will join Tottenham before the summer transfer period ends.
The Bruce was eagerly pursuing the Netherlands international as they were about to add another offensive midfielder to their ranks before the end of the market.
However, it was revealed Wednesday that Tottenham is about to jump in front of Chelsea to sign Simons from RB Leipzig this summer.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed Wednesday:
“Chelsea is continuing to negotiate and we have high-level discussions with players. It’s really important that Nkunku goes.”
And now, the German newspaper Bild appears to be showing that he is on his way to Tottenham rather than Chelsea for the last few days of his transfer period.

The Build claims that Simmons is “attempting to move” to the Spurs, who are trying to sign an alternative to injured James Madison.
“It is now understood that everything refers to the move towards Premier League club Tottenham, where Xavi and his aides will hold further discussions this Thursday.”
The report adds that “the club is already exchanging oral figures in the first exploratory consultation,” Leipzig hopes to reach “70 million euros,” including a bonus for Simons’ transfer.
The build continues: “For a long time, Chelsea FC has been considered the hottest lead, and Zabi and his agent Ali Barat, who have a great connection in the UK, agreed to the club. However, the “Bruce” has set their sights on Fermin Lopez (22) of FC Barcelona, giving the club a 50 million euro offer to the Spaniard.
