According to reports, Arsenal is “absolutely pleased” that Andrea Berta has completed the signing of Piero Hincapie’s deadline.
The gunners were one of the most active clubs in the summer transfer window, with eight new signatures coming through the door before the windows closed.
Hincapie, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard, Noni Maduke, Cristhian Mosquera, Viktor Gyokeres and Eberechi Eze all signed Arsenal in the summer.
Arsenal is hoping to work on the pitch this season with full support for Mikel Arteta, hoping that the Spaniard will finish three runner-up finishes and ultimately win the Premier League title.
Eze and Gyoker are two of the most eye-catching transfers throughout the summer, ending the long saga with a pair arriving at Emirates Stadium.
But TBR Football Chief Correspondent Graeme Bailey claims that after Berta landed Ecuadorian International at deadline, it was the Hincapie signature that impressed the Arsenal hierarchy most.

Bailey told TBR Football: “Arsenal is absolutely delighted with Hincapy’s contract, and Andrea Berta has worked so hard on it.
“In fact, it looks like a masterstroke as William Saliba is injured, but the level of Hincapie is really top-notch.
“Kiwiol is a devastating defender, preferred and more than competency, but Arsenal really feels that Hincapy could be something special.
“They were a bit disappointed that they missed the pigeons, but Hincapy is more than making up for it.
“Hincapee will be Arsenal’s final summer deal, but that could be one of the best.”

Hincapee was also pleased to be involved, the defender added:
“I want to gel as best as I can with my new teammates and have a good season.
“I’ve always wanted to win this club trophy, make my name and leave a mark. I’ll get off to a good start right away, and that’s the most important thing.”
