Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that the Manchester United star has a “specific opportunity” in 2026, so it’s “something to see.”
Naturally, Man Utd was active in the transfer market after a disastrous 2024/25 season.
The Red Devils invested around £230 million in the signature, with Benjamin Sesco, Brian Mbeumo, Mash Kuña and Sen Lammens making the most notable signatures.
Ruben Amorim and Co. also prioritized exits as part of their major team overhaul. Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Rasmus Hoyland, Antony and Jadon Sancho left among the players.
Nevertheless, the early sign is that the Red Devils have the same issues as last season, and Amorim is one of his favourites to become the first Premier League manager to be plundered after the shock Carabao Cup on his side came out at Grimsbytown’s hands.
The midfield division remains in Man UTD’s weak territory after failing to reach an agreement with Brighton to sign Carlos Valleva with the new partnership between Casemilo and Bruno Fernandez not currently working.

Casemiro has been deeply linked to his exit over the past few months, but he has decided to stay with Man Utd amid interest in the Saudi Arabian professional league.
However, as his current contract expires in 2026, the veteran midfielder’s long-term future remains questionable, but he has the option to extend his deal in the same term until 2027.
Romano believes that next year will be the end of the road between Casemiro and Man UTD, as they will “try something different to 2026.”
“I think there will be a specific opportunity in 2026 to see Casemiro leave Man UTD,” Romano said on his YouTube channel.

“This could be the final season of Casemiro at a high level in Europe and we can try something different from 2026.
“This has not been decided, and although this is not guaranteed, I feel that from what I’ve heard in the industry, Casemiro may decide to take a different step than 2026.
“For Man UTD, he remains an important player, but he is also a big salary. Saving that salary in 2026 is also important for Man UTD from a Financial Fair Play perspective.
Earlier this week, a report from the goal revealed why Casemiro sniffed interest and decided to stay at Man UTD, heading for this season.
“The 33-year-old understands Goal has chosen to stay with United, who is ‘very happy’, as he is most likely to represent his country at the World Cup next summer.
“Casemilo is the ‘trusted guy’ for new national team manager Carlo Ancelotti, and the former Real Madrid star feels he still has a role to play in his country if he’s having a strong season in the Premier League. ”
