Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed Ir Jim Ratcliffe’s decision on Cobby Mineau after he tried to leave Manchester United last month.
Towards the end of the summer transfer window, Manoo’s future for Manoo was questionable as it became clear he was keen to leave the club as a boy.
Mainoo has been struggling with a major fall from bounty since enjoying an astonishing breakout season in 2023/24, and manager Ruben Amorim is still making the most of England International.
In January, Man Utd was reported to be open to his exit to balance the book by recognizing pure profit sales, attracting attention from the Chelsea and the European giants.
Mainoo didn’t make a move in January, but there was little talk beyond the exit until it was revealed he was keen on the loan exit after Man UTD opened two Premier League matches and became an unused replacement.

Nevertheless, Amorim claimed last week that he wanted to “stay” in the central midfielder.
“I want Cobby to stay,” Amorim said at a press conference last week.
“He needs to fight for his place and we need Cobbies, so that won’t change. I understand that players who aren’t playing in this moment are disappointed.
“Everyone will have the same opportunity. You have to fight that week.”
Now, Romano has revealed the club’s six-word decision on Mine “never asked to go permanently.”
“Cobby asked me to go on loan. He never asked me to go permanently,” Romano revealed on his YouTube channel.

“Man Utd said no, they internally involved Ir Jim Ratcliffe involved and not selling Cobby Mine.
“This was a decision with all the people involved, CEOs, coaches and owners. “We can’t let Kobbie Mainoo go.
