Liverpool could struggle to sign Mark Guech in the next few transfer windows after Barcelona informs their interest.
The Reds had a very busy summer transfer window as Liverpool Board put all their energy behind Arne Slot, who won the Premier League title in their first season.
Hugo Ekitike, Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong, Giovanni Leoni and Alexander Isak have signed two backup goalkeepers to sign with Liverpool.
Guech would have been a cherry above the perfect summer transfer window for Liverpool, but his transfer from Crystal Palace fell at the last minute.
When the Reds found news that Crystal Palace had pulled a plug in the deal, they agreed to Guech’s £35 million fee with England International in the middle of his medical care.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on Friday revealed that Liverpool will make another attempt to sign Guech, but now several clubs are “considering the move” for England International.

Romano said on his YouTube channel: “The first clear point: Mark Guech will not sign a new contract at Crystal Palace. It is guaranteed. Guech has already notified the palace about it at the beginning of the window. He always wanted to pay his respects.
“But at the same time, he’s not going to sign a new contract, which has already been decided quite some time ago. Palace knows that.
“There is interest from Liverpool there from them because Liverpool wanted Liverpool to consider Gehi as an important advocate and keep it on their list, which is certainly true.
“But that’s not guaranteed either. At this stage, we can’t say Guehi will go to Liverpool, because what I’m hearing is that a few clubs around Europe, not just the UK, are considering Guehi’s move.
“He is seen as a great opportunity by several clubs. Top defenders like this are available for free. There’s no need to negotiate with Crystal Palace from January. It’s a big story and a big opportunity.
“There was basically no competition this summer as players decided to go to Liverpool and there was an agreement. Liverpool will continue the conversation in 2026, but now other clubs can get into the race and try to outperform Liverpool.”
