Reports suggest that Arsenal “willingly consider the offer” of Gabriel Martinelli and AC Milan consider the Brazilians an ideal alternative to Rafael Leo.
Martinelli has irritated Arsenal fans over the past two seasons after the 2022/23 breakout 2022/23 campaign.
He was comparable to most Premier League goal records of the season by the 15-year-old Brazilian, but was unable to kick as gunners chased their first league title since 2004.
After the player was tried at rival Manchester United, the 24-year-old cost him around £5 million from Brazil’s Minnow Itouano.
He is undoubtedly Edu Gaspard’s most successful signature during his time in the Emirates, and holds a strong bond with Martinelli as his compatriot.
EDU helped Martinelli settled in North London as a teenager, leaving his country in 2019 to play in the Premier League.
The injury brought back to the winger to affect the first team until 2022/23, when they were excellent, as Arsenal finished second in the league behind Manchester City.
His output was not as convincing in 2023/24, scoring six points at 35, registering eight goals and four assists in 33 top flight matches in the previous quarter.
There were rumours that Martinelli had gone in the summer, but nothing came close to realising. Bayern Munich was one of the linked clubs, but instead chose Liverpool’s Luis Diaz.

The left side of Mikel Arteta’s offense was identified as a position to improve in the summer transfer window, with the Spanish manager landing Evere Eze from Crystal Palace last month.
The arrival of Eze and Noni Maduke is expected to move Martinelli to the bench.
A fresh report from CatedOffside says Arsenal has a “quiet drive to consider offers” and Winger is “facing an uncertain future.”
In fact, players “previously welcomed as the cornerstone of Arteta’s projects” could leave the club due to inconsistency.
Along with Edu Gone, new sports director Andrea Berta said, “We weighed both sports and economic considerations and reassessed our position in the team.”
The potential suitor is bringing him closer to £40 million, but Berta is believed to have “given Martinelli a £60 million valuation during the summer window.”
AC Milan was able to see the “Martinelli Files” reopening in January due to “particular interest” amidst the uncertainty surrounding Rafael Lio’s future.
Arsenal didn’t want a “stand-off pulled out more than the price” and was able to use funds from Martinelli’s sales to sign Real Madrid forward Rodrigo.
The “smash hit move” for the Brazilians requires a “reshuffle of wage structures,” and Martinelli “can be a vital piece that will be sacrificed to unlock funds.”
The addition of Madueke and Eze has certainly reduced the need for Arteta to sign elite leftists like Rodrigo.
But Martinelli is far from unruly and as a homemade player he can be sold for pure profits.
