WASHINGTON (AP) — Judge Brett Kavanaugh says the genius of the US government system means that despite him and other conservatives on the Supreme Court face criticism, no one is too weak. It will be repeatedly postponed to President Donald Trump.
Kavanaugh said Thursday that the founders of the nation, whose citizens were included in the Declaration of Independence, was set to avoid concentration of power.
“And in the way I think framers are recognized in the way they think they need to separate their power from maintaining freedom. No one should have too much power in our system,” Kabanaugh said at an event honoring his former boss, Kenneth Starr, former federal judge and former federal judge praised by the Conservatives. He passed away in 2022.
Trump’s Proactive efforts to rebuild the federal government They did not appear inside the gymnasium on the campus of McLennan Community College in Waco.
But across the board from the event, dozens of protesters offered a different view of Kavanaugh and Trump.
“Essentially, the Supreme Court handed the country to Trump,” said JW Lastrape, head of Baylor University Democrats, one of the protesters.
“bk-Trump is terrible,” one banner said. “It’s embarrassing. No one is beyond the law,” Placard reads in a reference to the 2024 decision of the court that Kavanaugh joined.

Kavanaugh’s appearance at Waco highlighted his long history with Kavanaugh’s stars. Most notably, his duties as a prosecutor in the independent lawyer investigation of President Bill Clinton’s star.
The star became famous in the late 1990s as she looked into her relationship with Clinton’s White House intern Monica Lewinski.
According to a 1998 memo, Kavanaugh urged Starr to ask Clinton for graphic details about telephone sex and certain sexual behavior.
“The president has embarrassed his office, his legal system and the people of America by having sex with a 22-year-old intern and turning her life into a hellish scene.
Star followed Kavanaugh’s advice And his report is full of Salailasious details and was released in full by House Republicans. The Senate acquitted him.
At dinner in honor of Starr a year later, Kavanaugh said Starr deserves a Supreme Court seat, but he admitted that it is unlikely. Still, he called Starr a hero.
“I’m sorry to his critics because they were people who sacrificed law and principles for politics and convenience,” Kavanaughed said. “Ken Starr never did that.”
2018, Star was among those who publicly defended Kavanaughthen the Supreme Court candidate said he faced allegations of sexual misconduct, including Christine Brazey Ford, and that they groped her at a party when they were teenagers and tried to remove her clothes.
Kavanaugh forcedly denying allegations of emotional statements to the Senate Judiciary Committee and returning to Starr’s investigation when he said “revenge on behalf of Clinton,” part of the motivation for what he called a “calculated and edited political hit.”
Star’s widow Alice introduced Justice on Thursday, saying she was distraught when Kavanaugh’s personality was questioned.
“One of the negative reports was not true,” she said.
Ken Starr did various jobs after the Shiramizu investigation. He represented Jeffrey Epstein when the financier was first accused of having sex with a minor girl. Epstein pleaded guilty to mild charges and accepted a mild sentence in Florida in 2008, avoiding more serious federal prosecution.
Starr served as dean of Pepperdine University Law School in the Los Angeles area and subsequently served as president of Baylor University in Waco. However, he was kicked out of Baylor’s job in 2016 during a sexual assault scandal involving players from the school’s soccer team. The school power of attorney report found that under Starr’s leadership, Baylor did little to respond to the allegations.
Then in 2020, Star joined Trump’s defense team and acquitted the senator after his first round each.
