Former England striker Gary Reinker is “really worried” about the future of Man UTD midfielder Cobbie Mineau after being “dismissed” by Reuben Amorim.
The Red Devils lost the Manchester Derby to Man City 3-0 on Sunday, taking Philfoden in the first half, adding two more after Ehling Haaland’s break to Pep Guardiola’s side.
Man Utd has only four points from the opening of the four Premier League matches of the season. It reminds me of the form shown in the last campaign.
Amorim is under a lot of pressure to improve performance, and one of the biggest criticisms of UTD bosses lately is the treatment of Mainoo.
The Portuguese head coach has publicly suggested that Maine would compete with Captain Bruno Fernandez at the side location this season.
It was plagued by the man’s UTD hierarchy and last week’s report, with the Red Devils hierarchy claiming “I want Amorim to ease his emotional public explosion.”

Mainoo has only played 73 minutes of Premier League football this season.
After seeing Minee emerge from the bench against Man City in the Manchester Derby on Sunday, Lineker admitted he was worried about the future of England International.
Lineker says the rest is a football podcast.
“He is such an incredible young talent, and the local boy is doing really well.
“When he came, I thought he did pretty well, and I don’t understand that.
“I don’t know if there’s anything we don’t know, but that’s a bit confusing to me.”

Tottenham showed interest in Mineau in the summer transfer window, and FlashScore claims that the Spurs “continue to monitor the situation of male youth” as “uncertainty remains in his long-term future at Old Trafford.”
According to the report, “The sources remain very enthusiastic and show that they consider Mainoo to be a player who checks many boxes for the profiles of midfielders who want to add to their teams.
“The Spurs are building towards an ambitious 2026 and I believe their projects will be appealing if players decide to consider their options.”
And if Amorim continues to bench Mine with men looking for game time to build Thomas Touchel’s England team for the World Cup, “there are every chance there’s a chance that this story will gain momentum in the coming months.”
