SAN FRANCISCO (AP) – San Francisco’s gorgeous city hall has long been a desirable wedding destination. Essential background Photographing of many girls Quinceañera.
From traditional coming-of-age celebrations for Latino families, many 15-year-olds travel from all over the state to pose for imposing view art building portraits. City Hall is known for its marble staircases, elegant balconies and enormous Art Deco windows.
Photography is an important part of an elaborate, once-in-a-lifetime celebration as the photos are used in party invitations and blown away into the size of a gorgeous party poster.
Some families drive hours from Central California and even fly out of Los Angeles to realize their teenage dream of feeling like a princess wearing a tiara and posing on the epic stairs.
After seeing the photos on Instagram, Allison Garcia and her family decided to drive from Stockton, 65 miles (105 km) east of San Francisco for a photo shoot before a party in October.
“It’s a great place to take photos. There are some famous people who are elegant and married (here).
Garcia, who wore a golden gown, a long curly lock and a tiara for her photo shoot, said two of her friends had taken photos of Quinceañera at San Francisco city hall.
Cesar Lopez and Paola Soto, a team of photographers, have been photographing Quinceañeras for about ten years. Lopez said since the pandemic, more girls have begun seeking photo shoots in dome-shaped buildings.
The castle near Sacramento is also popular with teenagers, but will charge a fee, Lopez said. He said about 60% of his teenage girl clients want to be photographed at San Francisco city hall.
“It’s a beautiful place where you can make beautiful photos,” Lopez said.
