The Liverpool star has been criticised for his performance with Everton in the Merseyside Derby on Saturday afternoon.
Liverpool won the fifth Premier League in the 2025/26 campaign since their fifth match, clearing six points at the top of the table.
Arne Slot’s team got off to a quick start against Everton, taking a 2-0 lead through goals from Ryan Gravenberch and Hugo Ekitike.
Everton improved after the break and pulled back the goal through Idrissa Gaye, but Liverpool scored all three points at the final stage of the game, keeping their rivals at bay.
Slots made four changes among those named Florian Wiltz and Alexander Isaac, who won the Champions League 3-2 in the midweek of Liverpool, with Atletico Madrid 3-2.

Wirtz and Isak were brought in at the end of the match, but neither had a major impact as Liverpool focused on getting over the line to seal another victory.
Goal gives Wirtz a 6/10 match rating, claiming that “it shows a glimpse of his quality, but is definitely not enough to justify his huge £116 million transfer fee.”
At ISAK’s 6/10 performance, the outlet added:
However, Wirtz and Isak were not Liverpool’s lowest scorers. Connor Bradley and Dominique Zobosilai were given the 5/10 mark, and slots were praised.
