According to reports, Liverpool could be on the brink of losing two players as Real Madrid “securing two signatures” after Xabi Alonso’s “approval.”
Real Madrid secured Trent Alexander Arnold’s services before his contract ended in the summer with a thorn on Liverpool’s side last season.
Now Real Madrid is paying attention to signing centre-backs and is heavily linked to Ibrahima Conate.
Real Madrid is looking for a long-term alternative to Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba. William Saliba also mentioned as a target before writing a new contract to commit to Arsenal.
This leaves Conate as a major contender to join Real Madrid as one of the most valuable footballers who could become a free agent in 2026.

Konate excelled with Virgil Van Dijk last season, but he was correctly criticized at the start of this campaign because his form was soaked.
Nevertheless, according to a report from Spanish Outlet Defensa Central, Real Madrid’s Florentino Perez claims “secure two signatures,” with the deadline approaching Conate and Como star Nico Paz.
Perez is said to have “more or less decided” to sign the two players “approved” by coach Alonso.
The report explains:
“Obviously, there’s still time to reverse the decision and cancel some of the deal, but that seems unlikely. Both are highly regarded players in Madrid and believe they could become very important from next season. Both are happy to play for Mellen over the next few years, and are fully aware of the demands that come with this.
“Konate hasn’t started the season in the best way with Liverpool, but Real Madrid has no doubt about his potential. It’s normal for him to have something else in his mind.”

Like Alexander Arnold, Conate feels inevitable that he will move to Real Madrid, and his exit will be a blow.
After failing to move to Liverpool’s Mark Guech on the deadline, France International is one of three fit and natural centre-backs alongside Van Dick and Joe Gomez at Anfield.
Multipurpose defender Gomez was slipping in the pecking order in Liverpool as he was destroyed by injuries in recent seasons. Reports show that he is likely to leave the Giants in the Premier League next year.
Over the weekend, reports in Spain say Gomez has “one foot” from Liverpool, claiming he has “one foot” from Liverpool, as he is “not part of the slot plan,” and remains an option for Serie a Giants ac Milano.
