New York (AP) – Snoopy, The Charlie Brown and the “Peanuts” gang continue to be placed.
Apple TV+ Announces 5-year extension as an exclusive streaming home for all things “Peanuts,” The Associated Press has learned. The New Deal will run until 2030.
Building on the partnership between Wildbrain, Peanuts Worldwide and Lee Mendelson Film Productions, the new extension includes the classic “Peanuts” library, with plans for a newer original series and specials.
Apple TV+ acquired exclusive rights to the “Peanuts” catalog in 2020.
Continuing its holiday tradition, Apple TV+ will offer non-subscribers the opportunity to stream longtime favorites for free, such as “It’s a great pumpkin, Charlie Brown” (October 18th and October 19th), “Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” (November 15th and November 16th) and “Charlie Brown Christmas” (December 13th and December 14th).
“These beloved characters and stories retain a timeless importance that resonates with people of all ages around the world, and we are delighted to see everyone experience the iconic holiday special.
The ever-growing “peanuts” library is available on streamer platforms, including “Snoopy in Space” shorts and The Snoopy Show. “Snoopy Presents: Welcome Home, Franklin” “Snoopy Presents: Unique Mercy” and “Camp Snoopy.” First “Peanuts” musical in 35 years – “Snoopy Presents: Summer Musical” It was premiered this summer – is also available.
