Reports say Crystal Palace captain Marc Gech has already made a decision about the possibility of a January move amid growing interest from Liverpool.
Nguyeh is one of the most valuable footballers who could become a free agent after the end of this season, and leaving the Palace in 2026 is likely inevitable.
The England international has been making headlines as one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League in recent years, attracting attention from several big six clubs.
Liverpool led the race in the summer, and it was reported that Guech was more supportive of Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur to join the Reds.
Liverpool has named Gehi as one of the top targets of the summer as Jarrell Quansar leaves the club with a second new centre-back following Giovanni Leoni, and rumors of Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez leaving.

On the day of the deadline, the Reds agreed to sign a contract with Nguehee for around £35 million, but Crystal Palace withdrew the contract because they were unable to acquire a suitable replacement.
It was then reported that Liverpool continues to show interest in Guech, but if he fails to sign him in the summer, he will risk being taken over by the European giants, who are aiming for a free transfer in 2026.
German journalist Florian Plettenberg revealed an update on the multiple clubs’ stance on Gech’s acquisition on Tuesday night.
He told X: “Liverpool is doing everything in their power to sign Marc Gech on a free transfer next summer, and negotiations are still underway.” The Reds, like Barcelona, are very specific to their interests. #LFC
However, Gehi is also waiting to see if Real Madrid will start moving. Max Hebert has also expressed specific interest in the players in the event that either Dayo Upamekano or Kim Min Jae leaves the team. ”

Guehe will be able to reach a pre-contract agreement with European clubs starting January 1, but Sky Sports reporter Mark McAdam has revealed that there will be three “big” priorities in the winter, saying he is “not considering transfers.”
“For Crystal Palace, January will be the last opportunity for the captain to have to make money before he leaves the freelance in the summer,” McAdam told Sky Sports News’ transfer show.
“There’s still a chance they’ll convince him to stay. They could have done that with Michael Olisé, so why can’t they be Marc Gech? But it’s no exaggeration to say that he won’t be short on offers. In fact, they’re all in line now and are talking to his agent to see what the contract will look like.”
“On January 1st, he will be able to sign a pre-contract agreement with a club other than the Premier League.
“All big clubs will want him. Every big club will want him. He is the captain, leader and proves he can win a silver medal.”
“He will likely be a key member of the summer World Cup team led by manager Thomas Tuchel. And although he is at the right age, he hasn’t reached his peak as a centre defender yet.”
“When it comes to positions, he’s probably only thinking about Crystal Palace. He probably doesn’t think about the January transfer.”
“He’s probably thinking, ‘If he plays well from now until May, he’ll have a huge amount of money, a huge club and a huge opportunity to play at the highest level.’
