Man Utd Forward Joshua Zirkzee could move away from Old Trafford in January, according to reports.
The Red Devils spent the 2024/25 season with Ruben Amorim’s side finishing 15th in the Premier League and failing to qualify for European competition.
Only one Premier League team scored fewer goals than Man Utd last term, which Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund criticized for scoring just seven league goals between them.
Hojlund left on loan to Serie A champions Napoli in the summer. This likely turned into a permanent transfer, with Giluzzi remaining at Man UTD as a backup.
The Red Devils spent around £200m on attackers in the summer transfer window, which saw Benjamin Sesco, Matheus Cunha and Brian Mbeumo arrive.
This has dramatically limited Zirkzee’s game time at Old Trafford, with the Dutch international appearing in four subs in all competitions, totaling 113 minutes on the pitch.

And the Daily Mail does not claim that Zirkzee is deeply unhappy with his situation. A move into the January transfer window is seen as absolutely crucial in order to force his return to the Dutch World Cup squad’s reckoning next summer.
According to the report, “After playing eight times for the first team last season, Chido Obi returns to the academy set-up and could see United dig in with Zirkzee as back-up.
“However, there is no doubt that Zirkzee’s dissatisfaction has escalated significantly in recent weeks. It now appears that his only chance of salvaging a season that could cost him the World Cup is to try to secure a move in January.”
Football Insider has a similar report claiming that Zirkzee is looking at Serie A sides Inter Milan, Juventus and Como in the Netherlands for a “surprise exit” in January, as well as West Ham, who are also in the race.

Zirkzee was again left out of Ronald Koeman’s Dutch squad for the October international break, with the Dutch head coach saying in March that his performances were not “good enough” to justify a place in the set-up.
Ronald Kaman says:

“We have a lot of central defenders and midfielders, but we are a bit limited up front.
“But still, I think you have to earn your choice. I don’t think he deserves it now, but it might be again in another period.”
