England manager Thomas Tuchel has slammed “silent” fans for not supporting his team enough during England’s 3-0 win over Wales.
The Three Lions played their first game of this month’s international break on Thursday night when they faced Wales in a friendly at Wembley.
England initially struggled under Tuchel’s appointment, but bounced back with a 5-0 win over Serbia in last month’s international break.
Tuchel’s side followed this up with a superb performance against Wales, defeating Craig Bellamy’s side 3-0 with goals from Morgan Rodgers, Ollie Watkins and Bukayo Saka.
England were completely superior in all departments and should have won much more easily, but this result and performance was another step in the right direction for next year’s World Cup.
Despite this, Tuchel harshly criticized England’s supporters after the final whistle and made some cutting comments about Jude Bellingham.
“We practiced for a day and a half to prepare for the match against a well-trained team and we achieved a very good result,” Tuchel told ITV.

“We could have been up 5-0 at halftime. We couldn’t make the fourth and fifth. The stadium went silent. There was no energy coming back from the stands. We did everything we could to win.”
Asked if he expected more from the fans, he added: “Yes, what more could we have done in 20 minutes? We didn’t let them go. If you only listen to the Wales fans for half an hour, that’s sad because the team deserved a lot more support today.”
Tuchel also reserved praise for Rodgers, insisting he “needs” to learn how to play “without” Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham.
“He is who he is. He is number 10 and is fighting for that position. He is in good form,” he said.
“We are ready for any teamwork. Serbia was the next example of teamwork. We created many chances.
“We could have used Harry all the time, but we have to play without Harry and Jude. They’re injured. I think we played a great first half.”

Rodgers, meanwhile, insisted he was not satisfied with his position given the quality of the England squad.
Rodgers said: “It’s the pinnacle. It’s a proud moment to be able to achieve this at home in my own country’s derby. It’s a dream come true.”
“Quality players from people here and people from outside here, you can never get too comfortable or people will take your role.”
