Liverpool are reportedly prepared to offer £80m for Antoine Semenyo after the Bournemouth star was rated as the ‘best’ winger in the Premier League.
The Reds have made a good start to the new Premier League season with Slott’s team winning all of their first five games after winning the title last season.
However, Liverpool had a terrible week by the team’s standards, with the Reds losing three games in a row to Crystal Palace, Galatasaray and Chelsea.
Liverpool’s midfield has looked very disjointed this season, while their new backline has yet to impress fans and looks even more porous than last season.
Full-backs Milos Kerkes, Conor Bradley and Jeremy Frimpong have been highlighted as problems for Liverpool’s attack and defense.
Semenyo was one of the Premier League players who broke down Liverpool’s defense at the start of the season, with the Ghana international scoring twice as the Reds beat the Cherries 4-2 at Anfield.

And now Spanish website Fichajes are claiming that Liverpool are “preparing” to make an £80 million offer for Semenho, who has scored six goals and provided three assists in seven games for Bournemouth so far this season.
Liverpool said they were “considering his suitability and potential offer based on Bournemouth’s financial requirements”, while the Reds said they “have advantages due to our existing relationship with Bournemouth and our relationship with the sporting director that could facilitate a deal”.
The newspaper added: “Furthermore, the club has already issued a strong warning. They have no intention of parting ways with Semenyo in the immediate market.” But they know his performance will create an offer that’s hard to refuse. ”
There will be competition if Liverpool pursue Semenyo, but former England international Chris Waddle believes Manchester United should make a move for the Ghanaian winger.

“Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo is definitely the best (in the Premier League) at the moment,” Waddle said.
“Semenyo is good at scoring goals, he’s positive, he scores good goals, when he gets the ball he drives towards the players.
“I think Bournemouth will struggle to keep him. He’s really talented and the best winger in the country at the moment.”
“Some people may wonder why anyone would want to join Manchester United now, but I’m sure they will grow again and they are still a huge club.
“If Semenyo went to United, he would be able to play as well as he does now at Bournemouth and would be ideal for them.
“He could play with Mateus Cunha and then he could shine with Benjamin Sesco.
“You could see a real team growing, especially with Bruno Fernandes at the back. There’s a lot of work to do, but you can see they’re building a team there.”
“He’s the type of player United fans like and would be a great signing, but he won’t come cheap.”
