NEW YORK (AP) — She’s a Grammy winner. barbra streisand Performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. now Laufey is taking on a new challenge: creating a children’s story inspired by its mascot’s other name, Meimei the Bunny.
Penguin Workshop announced Tuesday that Laufey’s picture book “Meimei the Bunny” will be published on April 21st. The book, illustrated by Lauren O’Hara, depicts Maymay’s determination to become a professional musician, despite her initial struggles.
“I’m so excited to share May May the Bunny in picture book form!” Laufey said in a statement. “Meimei has been a part of my life for the past few years, and opening up the world around her has been the most beautiful quest. I hope everyone, no matter their age, finds something in Meimei’s story that inspires them and connects them with the people in their lives.”
The 26-year-old Laufey, born Laufey Linn Bin Jónsdóttir in Iceland, is known for his unique blend of pop, classical and jazz. Her 2023 release “Bewitched” won a Grammy Award for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album. Earlier this year she released her album “A Matter of Time.”
