TikTok is rolling out a new feature that will allow users to share Amazon Music content to the social network, the company exclusively tells TechCrunch.
The new “Share to TikTok” button allows Amazon Music users to share songs, albums, playlists, and personal listening highlights directly to TikTok from Amazon Music Insights.
For context, Amazon Music Insights is a new personalized feature that gives listeners a detailed view of their music habits and stats. This includes a “Monthly Roundup” highlighting top artists, songs, podcasts, and total watch time. Amazon Music users can now share these stats directly to TikTok.
TikTok already supports the “Share to TikTok” feature on both Spotify and Apple Music.
TikTok said the update builds on its current partnership with Amazon Music through its “Add to Music App” feature, which allows users to save songs they discover on TikTok directly to Amazon Music and other major streaming services.
Thursday’s announcement makes sense for TikTok, an app known for influencing chart-topping songs. Adding Amazon Music to the “Share to TikTok” option will give TikTok an enhanced ability to connect users with their favorite songs and artists.
