David Krumholtz (Oppenheimer) and Emily Beecham (1899) have joined Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow as the parents of Kara Zor-El aka Supergirl, Deadline can confirm.
They join a cast led by House of the Dragon‘s Milly Alcock, who landed the title role after a long search. Others on board include Matthias Schoenaerts as villain Krem of the Yellow Hill, Jason Momoa as Lobo, and Eve Ridley as Ruthye Mary Knolle.
Details as to the plot of the film, centered on Superman’s cousin, remain under wraps. But production has just gotten underway in the UK.
Craig Gillespie is directing from a script by Ana Nogueira. The project is based on Tom King’s 2022 comic book series Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, which Bilquis Evely illustrated. DC bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran are producing, with DC EVP Chantal Nong executive producing.
